Serving Chicagoland , DeNormandie Towel & Linen Supply Co. has been owned and operated by the same family without interruption for 100 years.
DeNormandie Towel & Linen Supply Co. was founded in 1903 by Joseph and Ida DeNormandie.
Working from their South Side house, Ida laundered and ironed the towels and aprons that they rented to the taverns and restaurants that Joseph serviced weekly with a horse and buggy. At the end of each day Joseph continued his efforts by calling on prospective new customers. Working late into the night, he added to DeNormandie's growing list of customers.
Joseph and Ida soon outgrew their home based business and opened DeNormandie's first plant on south Wabash Avenue.
Within only a few years DeNormandie Towel & Linen had become Chicagoland's premier supplier of towels, uniforms and tablelinen. 100 years later, the fourth and fifth generation family members are still carrying out this tradition. All of the family owners are active in the business on a day-to-day basis. Which is why we can say We are "big enough to serve you... small enough to care".
